English 10 Honors

In a few days I will hand out the early pages of this final project.  What are your fears as we enter Anthology Time.

Now that we are reading some poetry you’ve heard me wax with admiration of Billy Collins.  His poetry is humorous, yet also speaks to the heart of relationships in families.  What other famous poets am I missing?  What makes them so good?

Are you happy with the film?  Is it what you expected?  What about the casting?  Who do you think should have played the roles?  How does having read the novel affect your viewing of the film?

The ending of this novel is difficult to handle.  Tragically ironic and bitterly sad for all involved.  If you wrote the book how would it have ended?  Be realistic ( no aliens or vampires please).

Please compare the experiences of reading the play vs watching the film specifically The Glass Menagerie but also literature in general.

As we delve into the characterization of Tennessee William’s famous play, it behooves us to discuss the three main people, specifically, Amanda. What are our thoughts about the way she is handling her family at present?
